BeyondTheBlameGameArticleFrom the very beginning Adam blamed his wife for his bad decision and removal from the Garden of Eden and Eve did likewise and blamed the serpent. If the blame was valid God would have banished the serpent and all would have been the same. However, those living today know good and evil. So we know the blame was not valid and God judged mankind.

The knowledge of evil is not at all what Eve thought it would be. Today, there are approximately 45 million abortions per year worldwide.  There are an estimated 27 million adults and 13 million children around the world who are victims of human trafficking. Cocaine use is the highest in North America, and it has 14 million to 21 million users worldwide. There are currently around 40 million prostitutes working worldwide. There are approximately 9 million (about 3.8%) of Americans identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender.

For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few (Matthew 7:14).

Blaming others for faults that we have done may alleviate the present distress, seemingly, but there is another judgment day. Blaming your spouse for why you chose to cheat may work for your conscience, but judgment day is coming. Blaming the media and television for your crime, may appear adequate, but is it valid or will God judge it? Check yourself! Are you blaming the creditor for the loan you took out? Are you blaming the police officer that pulled you over for speeding? Are you blaming your children for acting ungodly? Who did God call to raise them? Someone else? Are you blaming me for telling the truth?

As a participant of the human race you have been chosen to act in a manner that gives God glory. Giving God glory will ensure your life leads to life everlasting. The statistics above are deplorable.  Not surprising!

For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many (Matthew 7:13).

Christians (Christ followers) need to put off blaming. Take responsibility for your actions. If you call yourself a Christian and you do not pray, it is impossible for you to be a Christian.

If you love Me, you will keep My commands (John 14:15).

  1. Hi Roger
Thank you for a wake-up call! I have found in my life that only as I live in Him, experiencing His love, grace and goodness, does He give me the desire and His power to obey! Abiding in Him is the only way for sanctification.

  2. Very well written! It is hard to find Christians that will write or speak with confidence on the Bible. Thank you for telling the truth as it is!

    • Thank you for your comment. I find within my life the fluctuation of confidence is in direct correlation to my worship and prayer with the Lord. Boldness is the byproduct of spending time with Jesus.

  3. Amen Brother. “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (Joh 8:32)

  4. I love the efforts you have put in this, appreciate it for all the great content.

  5. You nailed it, thank you!
