The Fight To Remain The Same And Be Different

No matter how wicked the world gets and how disgusting people become, God still requires His children to remain faithful. He has been upfront with His plan and what things we would see as time moves closer to the end. He said, sin will wax worse and the poor would always dwell among us. He said, we would suffer trials and tribulations. He said, the way that leads to destruction is broad. He said, there would be a multiplicity of ways to enter hell, but only one way to enter heaven. The devices of Satan are countless and imaginations of the hearts of men to do evil is countless. The moment you think, it can’t get worse the depravity cannot go deeper, mankind will prove you wrong every time.

Women have forsaken men and rushed to have childless sex with other women & men have left the intimacy of a woman to engage in erotic sex with robots & other men. Children are not safe from male and female sexual predators in school who hunt them down. Women are raped in every industry known to man and yet its glorified on television and rape movies that play on lifetime are popular. Hollywood actresses are speaking out of both sides of their mouth, they will accuse a man of raping them and then play a rape victim on television for hire. What is really going on?

Satan does not care how you choose to live as long as the end result is death without Jesus Christ. Take drugs and drink excessively. Get STD’s or don’t, just keep having sex outside of marriage. Get into fights with other people. Kill or be killed or just simply stay at odds with people. Keep spinning around and around until you get dizzy, just don’t stop long enough to hear the voice of God. Go to a godless concert and worship Satan willingly or unwillingly. Never call on the name Jesus and do not think about His Word.

Satan knows that if he can keep you busy doing godless things, you will never consider what happens to your soul when you die. You will have godless conversations with other godless people about spiritual things, but it will be another trap, another addiction, try yoga, do godless meditation or listen to sounds that illuminate ones mind, just don’t give attention to Jesus.

As a Christian we must fight to remain the same. There is no such thing as Christian yoga, Christian porn stars, Christian homosexuals, Christian female pastors. Do these title exist? Yes! Christianity is not defined by the godless, but men and women who follow the teaches of Jesus Christ. Fight to remain the same. New types of Christians pop up ever day. Harry potter Christians, Christian witches, Christian white supremacist, whatever evil you want to practice, Satan will allow you to deceive yourself by slapping the title Christian in front of it. See, all better now. It’s Christian.

There is to be difference between a Christian and Satan’s children and when they come to alter Christianity it is your duty to contend for the faith and keep it pure. Don’t allow Satan to confuse your children, be on guard. Guard your heart from every evil device by reading the Bible and submitting to what God’s word says. When someone approaches you with something contrary to God’s word and calls it Christian, don’t argue with fools, say nothing and walk away. Answering a fool in his foolishness will make you the fool. It is not your profession to correct fools, those ready to repent will ask you, what must I do to be saved? Anything else, is wasteful conversation that never produces good remaining fruit.

 

Examine Yourself

It is important that one takes personal responsibility for their relationship with Jesus. We must seal our mind with the simple thought that when I pass away or Christ returns & I don’t see a natural death, will I be ready for judgment? It would seem that too much pressure has been placed upon the leaders of the church without a true push back on the responsibility that each individual has with their walk with God. God destroyed the masses that fled from Egypt with Moses because they did not take their relationship with God personally.

Christianity is not a team sport. It is an individual race that only rewards the one who runs it well. Each individual will stand before God and give an account of their actions while upon God’s earth. He will judge your level of work and reward you accordingly. While salvation is through Christ alone, the blood is not applied to those who continually practice sins that God hates. The way that leads to life is narrow for a reason.

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you–unless, of course, you fail the test (2 Corinthians 13:5)? Its really important that you take the time to do this. You test yourself by your desire to spend time with God. The Bible says, For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous (1 John 5:3). When you love God there will be a thirst for him. Sin in your body will be an annoyance. You will hate the evil flesh that wars against the Holy Spirit within you. You will be at war within yourself. If there is no war, then you are not saved. The flesh will never natural crave the things of God, it will always crave evil. It will always crave things that lead to early deaths. If you are not fighting in your walk with Jesus, then it means you are a walking dead person. You can never be so powerful and spiritual in this flesh, that no temptation grips you. Because Jesus himself was tempted.

Do you have that daily fight? If the answer is yes, then you are in the right spot, keep fighting the good fight of faith and lay hold of God through His Son Jesus Christ our Savior.

 

THE BATTLE IS NOT EASY

You may have been promised that when you gave your life to Jesus Christ everything will be peachy and life will make sense. The truth is man born of woman is few days old and full of trouble. Paul in Romans 7:24 said, “what a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?” The desire within for sin does not leave at salvation. We must carry this desire with us to the grave. So if perfectionism is your goal and you are overcome with grief and sadness because of this. Stop! Give up the burden as the blood of Jesus has covered your sin.

          The victories we receive in life come from our joy in the Lord and not condemnation for sin. The goodness of God leads us to repentance as we realize he has paid the price for our sins. Serve the Lord with gladness and run the race that is before you. Pick up your head and run. The battle is not easy. Actually, it does not seem to make sense for a “battle” to be easy.  In this evil world you must either battle or die. So make up your mind now. There is nothing wrong with the battle. Choose to enjoy the victories that Jesus Christ has made possible to those who believe. He has already said that nothing is impossible to those who believe.

NOT EVERYONE LIKES TO WRESTLE

Whether or not you desire to participate in the wrestling matches of the day, you simply do not have a choice. You will wrestle are you will be defeated. Whether you’re wrestling with the temptation to sin or wrestling with your spouse, significant other, friend, family or foe. Understand that our wrestling is not with flesh and blood. All you see with the physical eye is flesh and blood and therefore the object of your frustration stands before you, but this wrestling is in fact only seen through eyes of faith.

Genesis 30:8 records Rachel’s wrestle with her sister, but why? On the outside it would appear the wrestling match was simply done because Leah did something on purpose or physically to her sister. The reality is God closed the womb of Rachel and even though her sister had children and gloated about it, behind the veil the question should be asked who controls the womb. God controls the womb. Oh, you think its sex. Ask the hundreds of women who adopt because they are unable to have children after seeing a specialist.

We don’t like to wrestle. We want things in life to come without much toil. Not so. God has not intended for us to be in a sinful world that is not our home to be in a constant state of perpetual ease. We must wrestle and fight using the weapons the Lord provides and they are prayer, fasting and fleeing. Some temptations you simply have to run from. I have had to run. Joseph ran from a man’s wife who wanted him. Run if needed. Always pray. Live a disciplined life with fasting and the wrestling matches of life like Jacob will be met with victory.
