Let No debt Remain Outstanding, Except the Debt Of Love

Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law (Romans 13:8). In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law and the prophets (Matthew 7:12). By this the children of God and the children of the devil can be distinguished: Anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is anyone who does not love his brother (1 John 3:10).

As Christians we should strive to be debt free, because debt is often an exposure of our lack of satisfaction in Christ and over dependence on the things of this world to provide pleasure. God holds our relationships in high-esteem. Over and above things. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes (Matthew 6:25)?

God has promised to provide for our needs without a requirement of worry. He told His disciples that if they speak and believe, what they say, it shall happen as they have said it. Have faith in God! When you waver in faith this can anger God and he will curse your prayer. The devil is also able to intercept faithless prayers as well. Most prayers get intercepted because Christians don’t believe what they say. Also, ask the Lord to give you the ability to see the diverse ways that He chooses to answer it.

When you don’t acknowledge your debt problem, it is sin. This type of sin will limit areas in your life, when you decide to operate in God. It is important to note that God does not give suggestions, but commands. When he tells us to do something it is in our best interest to do it.

This is not a call to stress over debt already acquired, but an awakening to God’s ability to set you free, when you acknowledge him in this area of your life. As Christians we live for him and should acknowledge him in everything that we do. Let’s never forget that the way that leads to life is narrow and few find it. Let’s watch or have our house broken through.

Excess Spending: A Sign You Are NOT Acknowledging God

A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold (Proverbs 22:1). Your name is better than any designers name. Any celebrities name. Your name matters. Take full responsibility for the value of your name. Understand that your name separates you from someone else. It is a designator that says to angels and demons that another one of God’s creation exist. Your name means something.

When you spend money, it is your name attached to the dollars that leave your hand and it is your name that qualifies another. Do you value someone else name more than your own? Michael Kors, Lexus, or Star Bucks. Have you been deceived to believe that your name is less than theirs? Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Chris Brown, John Macarthur, Franklin Graham, TD Jakes, or Steve Harvey.

Who is responsible for your soul and who will God hold accountable if your righteousness falls short of the Pharisees (Matthew 5:20). Who will you blame for your excess in spending? God said, be content with food and raiment. God said, acknowledge him in all of your ways. Did you buy the car after acknowledging God? Did you buy the house after acknowledging God or did you disregard his command and now your sucking wind in debt. Do you value your own name?

That credit card is a tool that you now with reward points can make you money. Do you use it wisely? Do you acknowledge God before doing so? Whose life are you living? A Christian ceases to exist when they meet Jesus. Buried with him, your life is now only lived for his pleasure and gratification. Excess spending is a sign your living in sin. Repent.

Now pick up your cross and follow Jesus again. Now this time acknowledging him in ALL of your ways.

Screen Shot 2016-02-08 at 2.29.45 PMWhat is your setting? What thought runs first, within your mind at the sight of danger? Where do you get answers from first? Is it the training you received in high school? Perhaps your psychology degree or sociology classes are the first thoughts that run within your mind. Who are you listening to?

If I were to ask you about relationships, would your experience define your truth or would your source be from another? If I were to ask you about an emotional problem, dealing with sickness or molestation what would you tell me? If I am single searching for the perfect mate and seem to only find abusers, what would be your words?

Would you immediately think about the Creator of heaven and earth? Would you secretly pray within your mind for the answer? Would you call on the name of the Lord?

Your default says a lot about, who, you depend on in times of trouble. Your default is clear evidence where you stand in your relationship with Jesus. For if he is the second, third, or fourth option, you are in trouble.

Whatever default your computer comes with can be changed, but not without the knowledge and time spent to change it. Spend time with Jesus and let him change your default.

What is your default setting? Is it driven by the secular society that surrounds you or the word of God written within the pages of scripture? Have you co-signed on a loan that the Bible prohibits? Have you been burned by this disobedience? Are you suffering because you were surety (contracted to be responsible for another’s debt) for a friend even though the Bible prohibits this? Have you been burned by this disobedience? Have you consider your way and asked the Lord Jesus before making purchases? The Bible commands us to acknowledge God in all our ways, for he will direct our paths? Have you been burned by frivolous purchases and suffering a mountain of debt? Hide yourself saints of God. The ant stores food for the winter, literally the ant is at peace during famine. Are you? Have you considered that your default is the memory of the seductive commercials enticing you to buy just about everything, whether you require it or not. The great thing about the default is that they may be changed. Changing them requires a new set of data to replace the old default. If you are watching and taking in more commercials than you are reading the Bible, your default is the commercials. The only way to change your default is to read your Bible and know what it says. The wisdom in this paragraph comes from Proverbs and Ecclesiastes in the Bible. Read them for your safety. The devil desires to shred and kill you. He may only be stopped through the wisdom found in Christ.
