Why do Christian women perpetuate myths about attraction?

beautiful-black-woman7

My husband and I attend a large Protestant church of the superfunrockband denomination. On Wednesday evenings, our church holds small group Bible studies, and HHG and I attend the one for married couples.  We meet in a large room and split into small groups, each group with its own table and leader.

This past week was rough because the topic was sex.  I just could not believe that all the things we joke about Christians saying were actually said.  For example, one young woman actually used the women-are-like-a-crockpot crock of crap.  This is not true, in case anyone has not figured it out yet.  It does not take a woman, Christian or otherwise, eight hours to become sexually aroused.  The idea that a man needs to spend eight hours giving her tender kisses, helping with the laundry, telling her how much he loves her, and bringing her flowers just to turn her on is wrong.  She may like all those things very much, they may be nice things to do, but they will not make her sexually aroused.  Why do Christian women keep telling men this?  It’s like we’ve all succumbed to mass delusion.

Unbelievably, another woman told the group how hot it is when her husband does the dishes and plays with the kids.  She actually said that as a serious comment, and all the other ladies laughed and nodded. HHG immediately texted me under the table, wishing to know why, if women find men doing dishes to be so irresistibly arousing, he has never received a bl*w j*b while up to his elbows in soap suds.  I could no longer stand it, so I whipped out my iPad and looked up a recent study, refuting her blue pill bull pucky by reading aloud the following quote:

A February paper in the American Sociological Review reported that married couples in which men take on a greater share of the dishes, laundry and other traditionally female chores had sex less often than average, which in this study  was about five times a month. Yet couples in which men confined themselves largely to traditionally male chores such as yard work enjoyed sex more frequently than average.

‘Duck Dynasty’ Dad Suspended from Show

phil-robertson-duck-dynasty2Apparently, during an interview the Dad called homosexuality a sin. Amazing how this man has more boldness than the celebrity Pastor Joel Osteen. Anyway, should he require boldness under our Constitution of freedom of speech? He should be allowed to say whatever he desired and not be judged by it. As you know this judgment thing only goes one way.

Stories like these are becoming commonplace and the reader of the Bible should not be surprised. God will not return until it is like the days of Noah. What was happening during the days of Noah? People were murderers of fathers and mothers, sensual, following their lusts and hateful. That is what is taking place in the world in which we live.

People are shooting people for winning employee of the month at Walmart and children are going into schools to shoot and kill people.  Why? The world totes brain damage. I tote a lack of love. Listen to the mother who divorces her husband, because she is unhappy and her children suffer. They grow up and have it progressively worse in their relationships as they are disillusioned about life.

The absence of love is the absence of caring and the absence of caring is the absence of value and the absence of value is death. We kill roaches, ants, and flys all the time with ease. We don’t think about their pain. Why? Because they have no value to us.

When we do not value this man’s opinion, it is because we do not value him. Hence, suspend this man for his opinion and put this family in financial jeopardy. How many more stories at lower levels happen like this?

Do you ever find it funny that Christians don’t go around hurting homosexuals? We call it sin and that is simply where it ends. We get the blood off our hands, so when you meet Jesus, you have no excuse. Notice, how the sinner squirms when the truth hits the mind. Do you know why? You are still created in God’s image and this is why the truth is offensive to the degree you must hate this family and suspend his employment.

DON’T JUDGE ME

black girls, Christianity, Christianity For Seekers
I am sure by now you have heard the term “Don’t Judge Me.” A term often used as a defense mechanism. A last resort message to ward off accusations and feelings of regret, hurt and failure. Because I am guilty and my heart has been exposed, I utter the phrase “Don’t Judge Me.” My wrong has caused my heart to break and without an adequate defense, I utter, “Don’t Judge Me.” The proverbial shield of protection but does it work?

When an individual uses the term, they neglect the problem and no solution for change is found. The psalmist writes “My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise (Psalm 51:17). When the judgment is correct, rather then harden yourself to it, use it rather to change. When a brother or sister in Christ judges my actions to be hypocritical and they are, I may be tempted to say “Don’t Judge Me” and continue being hypocritical or I could accept the judgment allow the pain to sink in and change for the better.

God cannot use individuals (for the individuals good) who are unwilling to be hurt with truth. Most of the time when people say, “Don’t Judge Me” they are wrong. The church is not required by God to judge those outside of the church, only those within it. This is how the church remains a shelter for the sick and a blessing to those who enter it.

The world is supposed to be disgusting. It should not be strange that a man desires to enter another man or a woman allows a dog to enter her. Women exposing themselves online with children and men running after little boys. This is natural behavior from an unregenerate man and such were some of us, however judging outside the church belongs to God.

When you decide to take the title I have been given by the Scriptures, my judging will begin. I am a Christian (Acts 11:26) and a minister. It is my desire that we all grow in wisdom and knowledge and understanding of the word of God. Namely, to have a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit who teaches us all things. So if our conduct is less than what the Scriptures demand, I will judge you and I will gladly accept your judgment.

I am not ignorant of the fact that if I judge the same measure will be measured against me and I assure you, that whatever judgment I cast, I am not guilty of the same. The purpose of judging our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ is so that we become better. For those who have jobs understand that the progress report is a judgment of your character and your abilities for the job you are presently engaged in. For those who desire to remain employed accept the judgment of their supervisor and change, or else continue down the same path and get fired.

How much more important is the judgment of the people of God? The people of God are judging so that you may not miss heaven and be counted with the many folks that will say, “Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” (Matthew 7:22-23).

Do Christians, Muslims and Jews worship the same God?

christianity, muslims, buddhist

I came across an opinion piece on CNN written by Jeffrey Weiss who decided to tackle the question: Do Christians, Muslims and Jews worship the same God? For whatever reason he decided to use over 1500 words to do this, but I will answer it in less than 270.

What is the most inclusive response from scholars?

“So do Christians, Muslims and Jews worship the same God?”

“In two major volumes on the subject recently published by scholars from various faiths and traditions, including Volf’s, the most inclusive response from these scholars is basically: Yes, and it’s our God.”

What was his conclusion?

“So do all three faiths actually worship the same deity, whether they call him God or Allah or Adonai?”

“God only knows.”

What is my conclusion?

I will include all religions and not just the three mentioned above. The God served by Christians died for their entrance into heaven. Christians get into heaven through the door, Jesus, by grace because of what Jesus did.

No other religion has an advocate that died for their salvation that they may now rest, like Christians, from their own works.

Here you see clearly two different foundations: A religion who’s God literally dies to save his people and all others who cannot claim this.

P.S. The man beside Jesus on the cross, asked the Lord to remember him and he went to paradise that same day. He did not commit lengthy works; he just died and was immediately saved by grace. What an awesome God Christian’s worship.

WILL THE REAL CHRISTIAN PLEASE STAND UP?

120124-find-from-the-mass-burial-in-dorset-credit-lion-tvYou may be tempted to think your destiny is to own houses, cars, and other things, but you would be awfully wrong. Your destination is the grave. Your whole life is headed in one direction. From the ground you were produced and shall return. Cover up the casket it does not matter for both shall corrode.

Did you actually think your destiny was something else when your strength is failing and your arm flaps faster than bird wings and your breasts sag lower then necessary at the same time glasses cover the face and grey hair abounds?

You covet. You desire. You run over people who have less wealth than you. You turn your nose up at other races and call yourself a Christian. I understand. The term Christian is dying and practically dead. You have Christian porn stars. Christian swingers. Christian rap artists and pop stars. Christian yoga. Christian pole dancers and whatever else you desire after all being a Christian is so popular.

The devil knows you desire all these things, so just slap Christian on it and now its Christian. Don’t judge me.

It’s time you wake up to your real destiny. It’s time for real Christian’s to take back our term. I would say call me a Jesus Follower, but the world and Satan’s followers would distort that too. So for you that are confused about the term Christian let me explain. The disciples were called Christians first in Antioch (Acts 11:26). Christians suffer persecution and glorify God (1 Peter 4:16). Christians do not make excuses for sin they call it sin, some cry and then change.

Christians know their home is in heaven. They work for the kingdom of heaven. They pray for the Father’s kingdom to come. Christians have no confidence in the flesh or their naturally wicked heart. Christians set their affection on Christ and his righteousness. Christians will rule the earth and judge angels. Christians have a ruler and his name is Jesus. Christians will be resurrected like their King and all others will perish.

It’s no secret the current ruler is the devil. You want huge sums of money in this life? Join the devil. His servants own everything. Ask TD Jakes and Joel Osteen. The devil offered our King the same thing, but Jesus refused, he chose to suffer with the peasants. Moses did the same thing. It is impossible to be in the devil’s world and not suffer persecution. No different than blacks in a white mans land expecting to prosper financially. Not going to happen.

Real Christians have one goal. One Father. One Mission. One destiny. Same suffering.
