Iowa parents arrested in teen daughter’s starvation to death

The parents of an emaciated Iowa teen who starved to death earlier this year have been charged after investigators discovered the pair denied the girl food, clothing and basic medical care — but neighbors said they warned police months earlier when the teen started begging them for meals.

Nicole and Joseph Finn were arrested Thursday, more than six weeks after the death of their 16-year-old daughter, Natalie Finn.

Both parents face charges of kidnapping, child endangerment and neglect. Nicole Finn has also been charged with murder, according to a statement from Des Moines police.

Some of the child neglect counts also involve two other Finn children: A 15-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl. They have two more kids — another 15-year-old and one about to turn 23 — who were not listed in the complaints. Read more

Pray for the children that need help and make a difference when you can. There is always things to pray for and God answers the prayer of the diligent. Children did not ask to be here and when people have sex that results in their existence, we should consider them special and use our influence to aid in them experiencing the goodness of God in the land of the living.
