A Bible Scholar, But No Demonstration Of Jesus Power

Some people are lead to believe that the knowledge of Scripture equals power with God, but in reality one verse in one heart of faith can do more than a 1000 verses in the mind of one that possess photo graphic memory.

If faith was easy to acquire than Jesus would not have given the disciples remedial training. Notice how many times Jesus mentioned to those who saw his power over and over again, oh ye of little faith. How many times did they forget after seeing the Christ perform again and again and again? Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father (John 14:12-13). How many pastors have you been in the presence of without an ounce of power and yet they may have degrees on the wall or in the closet? It is because they have knowledge, but little or no faith at all. They don’t believe what they read and you know they don’t, because when they pray nothing happens. If faith was easy to acquire then Jesus would not have to give the disciples remedial training.

There are two types of people I have come across from traveling the world:

1) Faith comes easy like, the centurion, in Luke 7 whom our Lord Jesus was impressed with concerning his faith.

2) Those who perpetually struggle with faith.

Of course, the two types of people I am speaking about are both Christians. People who are hellhound lack faith all together and this post is not for them. It is for the one whom faith comes easy and the one whom faith comes hard.

How do I know whether I struggle with faith? You don’t demonstrate any powers that Jesus said the believer would. You should have evidence from the mouths of those God used you to touch with power. It is easy for those with Biblical knowledge to deceive themselves, but you know deep down something is missing. I am telling you what is. It’s called faith. The prescription for lacking in this department is this. So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ (Romans 10:17). Read the BIBLE out loud and Read the WORKS of Jesus over and over and over and over again until you become him with POWER. Call demons out and lay hands on the sick. Demonstrate the words of Jesus. Paul said, “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power” (1 Corinthians 4:20).

Those whom faith comes easy do not be discouraged by Christians who struggle, but as the Scriptures have said, “Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters” (Romans 14:1). Keep pressing in the gifts that God has given you and when someone with weak faith desires to grow then give them wisdom, instruction and love. Ask God for discernment when dealing with time wasters, as Satan loves to send people with faith these types of people to slow you down.

The year is coming to a close and the window for repentance is closing, lets see what our Lord is going to do. To them with ears to hear, let them hear what the Holy Spirit is speaking.
