It is easy to get weary waiting for Jesus. Thousands of years have passed and God has not returned. The amount of pagans are increasing in the land and doubters mock your belief. They didn’t see the rain in Noah’s day and they will not see the fire until it is too late. Ungodly people coupled with your own flesh make it hard to live holy and be perfect, as we are instructed to be (1 Peter 1:16, Matthew 5:48).
People that regress don’t take inventory of their life. What activities have you allowed into your life that chokes the word of God? Before you were saved, you drank alcohol, you enjoyed the taste of wine and when Jesus entered your life you gave it up. Now you’re regressing and drinking again. Be careful. The one who endures to the end will be saved (Matthew 24:13). Demons attack lukewarm Christians the most because they can’t be used by him fully and they have the potential to destroy some of his kingdom, if they ever wake up and get on fire for Jesus. He doesn’t need to attack his children as they comply with his instructions and those on fire for the Lord, he uses long strategy plans to limit the destruction they cause on his kingdom.
Therefore, since Christ suffered in His body, arm yourselves with the same resolve, because anyone who has suffered in his body is done with sin (1 Peter 4:1). The Christian walk is one with suffering. Yes! There is joy, love, and peace, but your existing flesh screams to commit treason against God. You are responsible to kill it daily. Take time to balance the checkbook of your life and identify if you are guilty of regressing. Jesus is coming with his rewards for the faithful. Think of it this way. If you didn’t get the promotion, the car, the mansion, the million dollar contract, you can get and keep that in heaven. Remember, the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass. (Revelation 21:21). The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the LORD Almighty (Haggai 2:8). God has some expensive taste and loves to share with his most faithful children.
Keep pressing in Jesus name. Jesus is coming. Let’s be and stay prepared.
