Michigan Courthouse Police Officer Killer


Larry Darnell Gordon, 44, was in jail on two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, Michigan State Police records show. He was also facing charges of kidnapping, assault with a dangerous weapon, and domestic violence.

During a scuffle in the southwest Michigan courthouse, Larry broke free grabbed an officers gun and fatally shot bailiffs identified as Joseph Zangaro, a retired Michigan state police lieutenant, and Ron Kienzle, a retired Benton Township police sergeant, the Detroit Free Press newspaper reported and Berrien County deputy James Atterberry Jr. was shot in the arm. A woman was also wounded. Gordon was then shot and killed by an officer.

Larry Gordon a divorcee with five children has violent history and now it has ended in his death.
