In 2001, Human Rights Watch estimated that at least 140,000 inmates had been raped while incarcerated. As if the trauma of rape was not enough, anal sex is a primary cause of AIDS transmission. So the rates of AID victims has increased to an alarmingly disturbing rate. From the male on male rape in prison we move to the military.

Sexual assault is alarmingly common in the U.S. military, and more than half of the victims are men. According to the Pentagon, thirty-eight military men are sexually assaulted every single day. The moment a man enlists in the United States armed forces, his chances of being sexually assaulted increase by a factor of ten. Women, of course, are much more likely to be victims of military sexual trauma (MST), but far fewer of them enlist. In fact, more military men are assaulted than women—nearly 14,000 in 2012 alone. Prior to the repeal of “Don’t ask, don’t tell” in 2011, male-on-male-rape victims could actually be discharged for having engaged in homosexual conduct. That’s no longer the case—but the numbers show that men are still afraid to report being sexually assaulted. Click here to read more. From the military we move to the college.

In fact male on male rape in college is higher than the male on male rape in prison. Victims are often to afraid to speak out because of the shame they fear and the vulnerability of not being able to protect themselves. It is often thought women are the weaker vessel and for sure cannot stop a male, but most of these events seldom happen in a vacuum, but with alcohol and drugs present it because easier to get raped.

Society outside these venues have increased in aids and male on male rape from fathers, uncle’s, and even brothers. Much of the statistical information is knew as this is now an increasing epidemic. A study study published in 1978 says 78% of homosexual men have 100+ partners & 28% of homosexual men had more than 1000 partners. In 2010, gay men accounted for 63% of estimated new HIV infections in the United States and 78% of infections among all newly infected.

Rape is a serious matter and men need to feel comfortable with exposing their secret pain and burden in a safe environment for healing and restoration. Jesus heals victims and you can come and be set free and be given the boldness to confidently expose this evil and save another boy from having to experience your pain.
