Ledia Kallanxhi asked the question: Do you have any writings yet on Biblical teachings and interracial marriages? Interesting that people are still confused. My answer below:
And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman. And they said, Hath the Lord indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the Lord heard it (Numbers 12:1-2). Just like someone jealous of interracial relationships to impose their discomfort comes from God.
And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them; and he departed. And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous. And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned (Numbers 12:9-11).
So we find God in this passage of Scripture about to kill Miriam for coming against Moses, concerning his wife from another nation. Miriam was in sin, not Moses. Why?
What is God’s regulations on marriage? You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination. Also you shall not have intercourse with any animal to be defiled with it, nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it; it is a perversion (Leviticus 18:22-23). Repeated in Romans 1:27. A marriage of this kind, according to the Bible is sin.
A wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to marry anyone she wishes, as long as he belongs to the Lord (1 Corinthians 7:39). Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership can righteousness have with wickedness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness (2 Corinthians 6:14)? A marriage with a person that does not house God’s Holy Spirit is prohibited. So we find marriage between a man or woman of any nationality or race (which is not specifically stated within Scripture) is acceptable with God and blessed. His stamp of approval being “children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him” (Psalm 127:3).
Enjoy your interracial marriages as they are sanctioned by God himself. Ask Miriam.
P.S. According to the Scriptures there is only two types of people. Believers and unbelievers. Believers marry believers. Anyone may be a believer. If they confess with their mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in their heart that God raised Jesus from the dead. Confess, Repent, and Believe for the remission of your sins.
