The dilemma of those affected by drug abuse appears to be growing. There seems to be a need to escape the precious life you have been given. I know life is not always satisfying. I know life has many trials and tribulations whether or not you hold to a belief in Jesus. You were so convinced that if I made more money and had some fame, this would be life’s answer and it came, but you are still unhappy.

You look in the mirror wondering when is the pain and dissatisfying nagging going to end? When does the wealth and fame bring me the satisfaction I desire? The reality is, that it will not. Why? Because you are created being. Created beings are here on purpose and not by accident. Created beings provide a function for the one who created them. When the function for its creation is not manifested there is a schism. The schism results in the creature’s retaliation.

You in essence are fighting with yourself. You did not ask to be here and yet exist. You did not ask for the destination of having to be born and then having to die. You did not ask for many things that you are experiencing in this life. All you have to go on is your intellect and experience. Intellect and experience does not equal happiness. So why are drugs so attractive? They provide a patch. A door that leads to a destination that will ultimately be the fate of all, so why is drugs a problem?

The destination called death leads to another door called heaven or hell. The existence of the door called hell is the motivation of why I write. It is the central theme of my blog and the purpose for which I extend a helping hand or shout things like “I love you” and desire your happiness and ultimate satisfaction in heaven. Listen. Jesus is not the white guy you see with blonde hair and blue eyes on paintings. He is not the one you see in children’s books wrestling dinosaurs. He is not the one hanging on the cross around the necks of actresses, sports figures, porn stars, and musicians. He is not a bumper sticker on the back of a car driving reckless. He is not lightening or clouds in the sky. He is risen, alive and in heaven.

You need to speak with your creator. You need to ask him why you are here and when he answers, obey his instructions. He leads to green pastures and he offers peace that passes understanding. Call on the name of Jesus. He hears those who call. He is the only door that releases you from the schism.

  1. I enjoyed this, and is so correct. As it happens I posted something this morning on Face Book. That is along those lines, as I wonder when we struggle and feel as though we “suffer” = experience anguish in our life, why do we think “escape”.. instead of “endure”? I personally left drugs and other issues behind me “one day at a time” in 1985. Realizing that the escape was just as bad as the consequence of continuing to try to escape temporarily,. And after devil let me see that… I thought death was the answer. I got saved the night I first thought of sucide…That very night. When I cried out to God for His help, and I recieved Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour. And I never went back to that dark hole. It was not easy…it was somewhat painful, but the reality of Christ with me in me…. Kept me going. and going and going. Like the energizer bunny… I overcome all darkness! Through that power that lives in me!
Here was my post i tend to teach and give lots of scripture to allow those who read my stuff to find a place to stand on, from which they can not slip. A firm foundation they go look up and se if it is so.
I read something from Spurgeon today, that ended in this line “Great grace is needed, but great grace is provided.” and then I had this meesage to write…and posted on my facebook time line…
” Church do we forget we are to “look like” Christ? (Rom8:29) And “act like” our Father? (Eph5:1) … And forget that Jesus suffered greatly… for us. And that He did not seek to “escape” any of the suffering for us…Church…Will we do the same for Him?
Realizing that all suffering for us is relieved, the load is lightened through Jesus Christ who gives us strength to endure…as His grace strengthens us now.

Like Paul who had endured much more suffering for Christ than many others did or do. And He said at those times, just as we “can” also say! 1Tim1:14Amp- “And the grace (unmerited favor and blessing) of our Lord [actually] flowed out superabundantly and beyond measure for me, accompanied by faith and love that are [to be realized] in Christ Jesus.” …
Always turn to Jesus He is your ever present help in times of trouble! (Psalm46:1)
Fix your eyes on Jesus… He always completes and finishes what He starts. (Philp1:6) … Amen?! And He earned the right for “us” to have Him with us !
And His Spirit was sent!(Gal4:6).. To be With us ALWAYS! (John 14:16)
Emmanuel “God with us”! (Mat1:23) ….So let this speak to you today!
Heb12:2Amp-“Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” …
But wait, you say it will be very hard today? You say I do not know where you have to go? No I don’t…But God is WITH YOU! Allow “Him” to comfort you…
He wants to hold your hand through it all! Isa41:13~” For I the Lord your God hold your right hand; I am the Lord, Who says to you, Fear not; I will help you!” …
And God does not change. (Mal3:6, Heb13:8) He endured a cross “for you”, He will endure this day “for” you also. … because He cares for you. (1Pet5:7)
When you read Heb12:2 above realize when Jesus looked at the cross and saw joy set before Him….Stop and realize this truth… That was YOU today He saw..and He took the pain and shame for you at the cross. To become an equal heir in Christ so you could be like Him, and “endure” this day. He counts that as His Joy.
Remember in this world the devil rules and wants to hinder us… the devil causes things to distract us, to make us suffer, but all things devil does with his power, Christians have power to overcome… but that does not always mean escape!… It is IN heaven where there will be no more tears, no suffering “anguish” (Rev21:4Amp)… But “in” this world “with the devil around” we will have trouble. (John16:33) … Devil is always roaming about seeking to Kill, steal , and destroy…not our life, No he can not…our life is hid IN Christ (Col3:3)…but our “potential in Christ”… is ALWAYS a choice we make to be used by Christ to glorify God in this world! “Overcoming”… which can also mean enduring the works of the enemy!
Do not give up! Allow God to speak to you, to strengthen you, now read the scriptures in your own bible today, that God allowed me… to give “you” to see today. He IS the light to your path…for today! (Psalm 119:105) Walk in the light…and darkness will flee.
Sometimes “we” must go through the fire…that hurts….sometimes we must go through deep water….that is hard. But (Isa 43:2) Says WHEN you go through those exact type of things, it ALSO says that God is with you! And NOW because of the cross Jesus endured… Because you are now God’s through the blood of Jesus shed on that cross for you …He is greater in you! 1John4:4Amp-“Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world.” …
And He is leading all of us to a better place… We must follow and endure or own cross daily. (Luke9:23) Until we get to that place with no more tears, or pain or anguish.
And as others watch us… they may decide to follow Christ too. Because many times it is very true… Actions speak louder than words. Seek and draw near to God, who will draw near to you (James4:8)… Allow your actions to look like Jesus, who IS with you always.(Mat28:20).” Endure to the end. He is their.

  2. Just realize that you can not just “act” like Jesus. it is seeking the presence and putting on Christ, casting off the old man… but it is Him in you working through you… Eph5:1 does not say “do”…it says “Be” imitators of God as dearly loved children. our own works would never be good enough…it all is done through Him who gives you strength.

    • “Be” and “Do” are both verbs. It would not make sense for God to tell me “to be” something like “Be holy, because I am holy” (1 Peter 1:16), if he automatically did this. I would need nothing then to exist. Hence, “was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did (James 2:21-22).

      • Agreed totally, and my only point was…That I did not want to have it forgotten that apart from Him You can “do” no thing. (John15:5). I can do some things and I can attempt some things…. but I can be like Jesus only through Him because “I know”…in whom I have believed..and am persuaded.(2TIm1:12).And because He knows me…. So I follow what He tells me to do…. And i’m then appearing as His child. (Rom8:14). “Be” Blessed my bro. Thanks for your sharing His heart in your posts. 😉

  3. Oops meant to put in John10:27Amp-“The sheep that are My own hear and are listening to My voice; and I know them, and they follow Me.” …;)
