DEATH, LIES, AND VIDEOTAPE

homeland, christianity, Christianity For Seekers
There are many who fear the man with the gun or the man with the bomb. I declare to you today there is someone else you should be concerned with. Someone who is more powerful than you can image. Someone who holds space within his mind and voice. Someone who can speak into existence something out of nothing and make all the mountains of the earth bow before him. This man is so powerful that death could not hold him. Those demonic beings could not cause the temptation within his members to fall. This man is the King of kings and Lord of all Lords. He is the Almighty God.

Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him PSALM 2:12.

This Son Jesus should be feared of all that may be feared. The devil cannot do anything without the Sons permission. All power belongs to him. Fear him. Love him. He will make your life worth it. He will add value to your existence. He will place within your hand power from on high. And you will be able to declare that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Or else cowardly fall under his might, if you refuse to submit under his authority.

  1. Does God really want the reason we worship him to be out of fear? If that were the case, wouldn’t He have just taken away free will to begin with? Yes, Jesus is all powerful and we should know that we can do all things through him, but to choose him because he carries the bigger stick seems contrary to the gospel.

    • Consider Luke 12:5 “But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.” Consider Act 2:36-38. Consider the verse quoted in this blog post. Without the danger the gospel has no meaning.

  2. “This Son Jesus should be feared of all that may be feared. The devil cannot do anything without the Sons permission. All power belongs to him.”

And when Satan tempts it is because the son permits it? Why then is there evil in the world? Would it be because god wants it that way?

    • And when Satan tempts it is because the son permits it? Yes! Why then is there evil in the world? Free will demands it. Would it be because God wants it that way? Yes!

      • Then what is the point of praying for the god to intervene in the very chaos and evil that he desires be present? The whole thing seems rather silly to me.

      • It should seem rather silly without the Holy Spirit. “The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit” (1 Corinthians 2:14). All you have to do is sincerely ask the Lord for eyes to see. Otherwise, it becomes rather pointless for us to go back and forth.

  3. We treat this subject, Fear Of God” as If we have a choice. What were some of the first words Adam spoke after he sinned, “I was afraid’. We need to understand we are not God’s equal we do not have the luxury of choosing whether we can fear him or not. It is not a choice. God is love, patient, kind, long suffering, and forgiving. But, on judgement day, his judgements will be final and severe. His wrath will be pour out on people who have reject his son and it will be final and merciless. There are millions if not billions of people who have no fear of God, and many of them will incur the wrath of God on judgement day.
I fear God, for those in my family that will incur his wrath on judgement day. I fear that on that day we will experience the greatest joy and the greatest regret.
