Bible, Obedience, religion, righteous judgment, sexual assault cases, warfare, weapons, weapons of our warfare, woman

For those with eyes to see, you will notice the days are getting darker. Every passing year the US military deals with increasing sexual assault cases and suicide. Women are increasingly having adulterous affairs commonly spoken among men. Women are increasingly sleeping with underage boys and committing crimes mostly associated with their male counterparts. Some may call this empowerment or feminism. Female pornographers continually boast of their liberty and yet they themselves are slaves and enslaving men who’s natural sexual lust is now exploited.

What is the defense against such onslaught? What is the resource given among mankind? The Lord has given us weapons of warfare. He has given us tools to remain strong, in the midst of an untoward generation. He has also informed us that the days will wax worse and worse with sin. These may be the last days or we may have a revival, no one knows of Christ return. What we do know historically that nations fell when the righteous judgment fell. Not one nation in history has ever fallen because of an increase of righteousness and love for the fellow man. Not one.

So how do you protect yourself? “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled“ (2 Cor. 10:3-6).

Your weapon is to exalt God’s word in your life and decrease the value of words that God has not given us. Life example: God’s word says, “do not have sex before marriage.” World’s word says, “no one buys a car, until it has been test driven, a metaphor for having sex before marriage used to know if he/she is the one.” World’s wisdom opens the door to STD’s, sexual abuse, broken hearts before high school/college is finished.  God’s word opens the door to fun exploration and newness.

Another example: God’s word says, “godliness with contentment is great gain.” World’s word says, “buy now and pay later.” World’s word opens the door to stress over debt, worry, fret, pride, jealousy etc. God’s word opens the door to satisfaction, peace, and calmness.

A believer’s weapon is obedience to the Word of God, which is found in the Bible. This obedience leads to a peaceful sleep and less dependency on sleeping pills and any other substance you may use to get a good night sleep.

* Side note – young lady worried about not doing enough for God, your freedom is raising your children. But women will be saved through childbearing–if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety (1 Timothy 2:15). Do not let the world’s wisdom bind you up. You raise your children and work at a so-called traditional job when you are good and ready. 🙂

  1. The entertainment industry has created many hedonists who are unable to think, and just spout what they’ve been programmed to think. They’ve become brainless packages of meat to be used, abused and discarded, and they think they have all the answers. It’s a sad state of affairs, but I thank God for Godly people like yourself. Great job. Keep it up.

  2. What a frightening and violent world you live in! I’m awfully glad it’s not the same one I inhabit. I hope you feel better soon.

    • I am not speaking about the world. Hence the reference to the US in the beginning. I also would like to see the rates decreasing and parents who are losing their children to sexual abuse and suicide. Having parents crying over their dead children is very awful. Having participated in these funerals the hurt is deep.

  3. Another good one Roger! We are living in both dangerous and exciting times. I feel that we who call ourselves Christian should fall on our faces and seek the outpouring of the Spirit of God for our Nation and the world.

  4. Biblical Obedience is the Key to Unlocking the Weapons – great post Roger
