Global symbol, but still just a kid

When I ponder the role of parents, I realize the task of raising children in this world, full of information at ones fingertips, is no easy day. It is filled with unknowns at every corner. It is filled with danger, fear, pleasure and pain. The precious fruit of a job well done is the mother’s reward and the father’s delight.

Little beacons of the parents programming and influence. These children grow into being more and more independent of your lead. These children have a power of their own and an ear to hear Jesus.

Don’t stifle the child who speaks the word of God. Do not muzzle the lips of your youngster who exhibits the truth, for he/she may be speaking under God’s power. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Encourage your children to speak the wisdom of God and share with them daily the good news that Jesus sets the captives free and makes those who cannot see have vision. I may be a kid, but I can become a global symbol. I may be the youngest, like one of Job’s friends and speak the greatest wisdom.

You’re children are wanted. Their minds are being pursued by the devil and his plan is to confuse, exploit, and destroy them. You are the first line of defense that God has designed to protect them. Your mission! Be sensitive and obedient to the Holy Spirit in directing them. Let the Holy Spirit be free to direct them as well.

  1. Encore, encore!! I truly believe in freedom of speech for ALL ages. While it is beneficial to teach them good manners in their speech, their content should not be subject to the opinions or desires of those surrounding them.

It wasn’t long ago that my eight year-old son came out of the dentist office with the dental assistant in tow, proclaiming to me, “Mom! This is Molly. She doesn’t know Jesus!! Can you BELIEVE that?” =) At that moment, I think it was safe to assume that she at least HEARD about the incredible ONE that died for HER.

I LOVE evangelistic kids and really enjoyed your post!

  2. Reblogged this on khrystleraineduste and commented:
From the mouths of little children will come praise…

  3. “…Encourage your children…”

I’ve been around a lot of children and this is the #1 lack for many parents. They don’t know how to encourage their children.

  4. So much Wisdom…

Do you know how many times I have shushed my kids 😕

    Should have read this first!
Thank you for letting me find you!!

    God Love You †

  5. A child grows faster and faster as information at their fingertips becomes more and more accessible. You have rightly said, global symbol, but still just a kid.
