LAST NIGHT’S DREAM

Dreams, Visions,

The dream begins with me in the middle of a foyer seated behind a desk with a computer. The space was similar to an office without walls. As I was typing on the computer, a medium size, Lt Colonel approaches and I call the whole area to attention. Within moments another gentlemen approaches with the rank of Colonel and says to me “did you not see that I was in the room?” I was a little intimidated and said, “I apologize, but I did not see you.” He tells me to have a sat and that he would be back.

In the foyer there were huge columns and he disappears behind one as he cuts the corner down a large hallway.

When he comes back he has within his hand a book. Already having the book parted, he asks me to sign my name on the book. I noticed written on the pages of the book were my works. Both good and bad were written on the pages with dates beside each action. Written on the last line was the thing that I had just did which was calling the room to attention, when a higher official was already in the room. In the military this is incorrect behavior. I signed the book and the dream ends.

As I pondered the dream, the verse that comes to mind is “The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good” (Proverbs 15:3). My actions are being watched and recorded. The steps I take are being weighed in a balance and I will have to give an account for the things that I have done.

This dream was a reminder to me that God is watching me. To see what I will do with the words he has given me. What I will say to those in whom I will come in contact with and what path or way will I continue to take.

VISION FOR THE FUTURE!

abstract-19141_640I have entered this world through the womb and have grown older with each passing year. Each year has been filled with good and evil, joy and sadness, success and failure. None of which defines me so greatly than to have a relationship with Jesus. Jesus will make the ultimate difference within my life’s end. I will hear “well done” or “depart from me.” Every individual will have this story. The only difference is that some will have more or less, good and evil, joy and sadness, success and failure in their lifetime.

A vision for the future should be filled with hope. A vision for the future should be filled with joy. A vision for the future should be filled with optimism.  A vision for the future should be filled with pleasure.

You should not allow society’s decay to change your vision. You should not allow the increase of sin and murder to discourage you. You should not allow the hearing of multiple affairs and divorce to change your vision.  You should not allow the lack of integrity found within our leaders to change your vision.

For the Lord’s vision is for you to prosper. For the Lord has prepared mansions and rewards for the faithful in Christ. The Lord has promised that those who meditate upon his word will prosper in their endeavor. Victory belongs to the faithful. God will not allow you to be destroyed. Is God is for you? Who can be against you? Are you not on the winning team?

Then what should our vision be? Please comment below. Let’s make it a prayer.

2012

What can I say? A new year has dawned. A new opportunity for some has begun. A new number to write upon our school papers and checks. A new reflection point. Some say this is the year that will end all years. The day for the end of the world by the Mayan calendar. Some say this year is a year of prosperity and God’s blessing on tithing members of the church. Some say all is the same and nothing ever changes. This has some truth as new sins are yet to be developed. The same sins committed from the dawning of earth are being committed today. We may have technology to offer what looks to be differing sins, but it is nothing new. 2012 another year to grow complacent of the Lord’s return. 2012 another year for sexual immorality to grow, divorce to increase, and the family system to fail to perform its job in raising its children. Sin waxes worse and worse.

2012 will not be filled with more death and destruction alone, there will be times of refreshing. Times of growth and maturity. Times where the Spirit of God will fill an individual with his power. 2012 will be a challenge for Christians to stand and possibly gain ground in our failing school systems. Failing because teachers are limited and not free to teach using their particular gifts given to them by God to teach. 2012 will create new stars and many will benefit from the new age technology that is being developed.

2012…..
