“A substitute teacher who says he was fired after giving a student a Bible filed a complaint yesterday with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
The complaint against the Phillipsburg School District alleges religious discrimination and retaliation.
Walt Tutka was working as a substitute teacher on October 12 when, according to the complaint filed by Tutka, he said to a student who was last in line, “The first shall be the last and the last shall be the first.”
After the student “repeatedly” asked where the line was from, Tutka told him the Bible. Tutka asked the student if he had a Bible and, when he said no, Tutka said he could have his and he gave him his Bible, the complaint states.
Tutka says he served his last day as substitute teacher on October 15 and alleges that Superintendent George Chando told him on October 18 that he was recommending Tutka’s termination because he gave a student a Bible, the complaint states. Tutka says he was dismissed on January 14.
The Liberty Institute, a nonprofit legal group dedicated to” restoring and defending religious liberty across America,” alleges that on March 28 Phillipsburg School District “refused to turn over emails and other documents” related to Tutka, despite an open-records request (via nj.com).”
Should we as Christians be surprised by this behavior? Should we shake our heads in rage against the establishment?

Are you the type of person that allows others to add to your drop down list? Was there a time when you can recall that your drop down menu was short? There were only a few things that you would accept? Societal change toward what some would believe is progress, but in actuality is decay and you decided to add it to the drop down. Are you picking up things that should not be an option?
It is important to review your drop down menu and make sure no option for sin or unwise living is available. Are you about to co-sign on a loan? The Bible records that to be an unwise decision, have you added this to the drop down? A growing number of secular counselors say adding pornography to the marriage is healthy. Have you added this to the drop down?
When you look at others who appear to do well sinning and smiling, please remember the Bible says the wicked are being set up. It is easy to add things to the drop down. That is why we must examine ourselves. So take time to examine yourself. Repent if needed. Move on and prosper.

When I hear on CNN that parents should speak to their children about rape, we definitely live in a sad day. What happen to spanking? I grew up playing Mortal Kombat, highly discouraged by my mother, but she allowed me to purchase it with my own money. I played the game, used the fatality and never once thought about harming someone in real life.
The main reason is that I was taught that everyone was created in the image of God. Every female and every male possess a spirit. They are more than just a result of the big bang. They have value. They are more than gases and atoms. They have a soul.
What fools fail to realize is that without the understanding of God, life becomes meaningless. I heard Neil deGrasse Tyson say we are the same as space. Really?
Taking thoughts like these lead to a devaluing of life.
Another huge problem is that many women feel they need to use their body for promotion. How many women are catapulted in our society using sex and their body? Older women are not teaching younger women how to be chaste because they are not. We have older women on television shows talking about having premarital sex and being for all practical purposes prostitutes. Are we going to serve the dollar or God?
I made the mistake of typing into YouTube the word twerp and found a horrific array of teen girls bending over and doing things that are downright shameful. I kept thinking where are the parents? Where are the parents? Are we going to serve the dollar or God?
Now I understand the Bible has declared that sin will wax worse and worse and the hearts of many will grow cold. I also understand that I am unaware of Christ exact return and will live as if another revival is around the corner. Who knows it could begin today. Reblog this message if you’re bold enough.
I want to convey the clear message that we have responsibility to uphold the wisdom of God and not be confused like the world when horrific acts like this happen.
1. God gives meaning and value to human life.
2. People are not inherently good. They need to be taught to love.
3. Be bold and share your knowledge of God.
